Usually the specific animal protein, the veterinarian prescribes, is difficult to obtain. The preparation of the food may be time consuming. Time is precious, leading to the self preparation of the diet to not always be ideal. In addition, some types of meat have an unpleasant smell during preparation. To aid with the self preparation of a diet, TROVET has developed a special product range: Unique Protein. To create an elimination diet you only need to add a carbohydrate source. The preferred carbohydrate sources are boiled white rice or potato. In addition, you should add a dietary supplement to prevent any vitamin and mineral deficiencies: TROVET Balance.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Indications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Food allergy</li> <li>Food intolerance</li> <li>Contra-indications</li> <li>Hypersensitivity to horse protein</li> <li>Product features</li> <li>No disturbance in the diagnosis by other components.</li> <li>Only the addition of olive oil and sunflower oil.</li> <li>Usable as self cooking elimination diet.</li> </ul> <p>Please note: does not contain added vitamins or minerals. Use TROVET Balance as a supplementary hypoallergenic vitamin and mineral mix (see application advice).</p> <p><strong>Application advice</strong></p> <p>It is advised to consult a veterinarian before using this diet. Recommended period of use (in combination with rice or potatoes): 4 weeks. If the intolerance symptoms disappear, add TROVET Balance (vitamin and mineral mix) daily. In the absence of intolerance symptoms, Unique Protein (Horse) can be used for life, in combination with TROVET Balance and a carbohydrate source.
